Mecca:83 aka Rise aka 1/3 of Redefinition aka 1/4 of Alexis Davis....

Jazz and Soul are the foundation. For the past decade i’ve buried myself in stacks of old records and vintage synths, carving out a niche for my sounds to live in. I’ve recorded under numerous aliases during this time - from creating sample based Jazz music as Rise, to interspersing live instrumentation with Hip Hop beats as Mecca:83 and as part of the group Redefinition.

To date i’ve released 3 full length albums as well as numerous EPs and singles in Vinyl, CD and Digital Formats. You can find my music on labels such as Futuristica Music, RecordBreakin, Expansions and MyFirstMoth to name a few. 

At present i’ve taken a step back from solo releases to focus on production and remix work for other artists, as well as youth music workshops. If you’re interesting in discussing production work or a workshop date feel free to drop me a line.
